Course Overview

GCSE Statistics is an optional qualification that develops students' ability to collect, analyse, interpret and evaluate data.  It is particularly suited to students with an interest in subjects such as science, geography, psychology, business, economics and the social sciences.

The course complements GCSE Mathematics by strengthening statistical literacy and analytical thinking, skills that are increasingly valuable across a wide range of subjects and careers.

Entry to GCSE Statistics is by invitation only, based on student performance data in Year 9.  The course is taught and completed in Year 10, allowing students to develop strong statistical skills alongside their GCSE Mathematics studies.
